This was one of the first countries I ever visited. We brought toys down to a children’s charity and gave them to the kids when we visited. I still remember being scared the kids wouldn’t like me as this was my first charity.
When I first walked in the kids were huddled around a mini tv playing Cinderella. They all turned their heads at once and it was the last moment I have ever wondered, “do they like me” because it’s not about me. These kids were getting a rarity delivered to them and all I was concerned about was what they felt about me.
I then quickly rubbed the feeling off and proceeded on to helping kids jump rope, color, and build lego structures. The smiles that the kids had shown made me feel warm inside and I never wanted the feeling go away.

Trail running is my way of recharging.

I prefer mountain biking, but as long as you\’re outside it\’s all good!

Agreed! Being outdoors centers me and keeps me working toward my goals.
